Dr Cameron McLintock
Subsequently, he commenced 6 years of specialist training in Ophthalmology. In 2017, he was awarded the Topham Scholarship and traveled to England to undertake 18 months of sub-specialist training in Corneal and Refractive surgery at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead – an institution with an international reputation for excellence and innovation. Here he refined his skills in cataract surgery, laser eye surgery and corneal surgery (including all types of corneal transplants).
As well as working at Southside Eye Centre, Dr. McLintock also works as a corneal surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, looking after patients with very complex eye diseases. Dr. McLintock is passionate about teaching medical students, and junior Doctors. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is heavily involved with training Queensland’s future Eye Surgeons through his work at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He was awarded the Queensland Trainer of Excellence Award in 2019 and 2021 for his contribution to Ophthalmologist training.
