Our Doctors are all highly trained Eye Surgeons, and we use the most up to date technology to ensure excellent outcomes for our patients. Our Doctors are committed to ensuring our patients receive care of the highest standard.  
 
We provide comprehensive eye care. Our areas of speciality include cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, pterygium surgery and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr Cameron McLintock

Dr. McLintock is an eye surgeon with expertise in cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, pterygium surgery and corneal transplantation
  
After 7 years at the University of Queensland, Dr. McLintock graduated as a Doctor in 2006 and worked as a general Doctor in several Queensland hospitals for the next 5 years, mainly in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. During this period, he completed a Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmic Science through the University of Sydney. 
 
Subsequently, he commenced 6 years of specialist training in Ophthalmology. In 2017, he was awarded the Topham Scholarship and travelled to England to undertake 18 months of sub-specialist training in Corneal and Refractive surgery at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead - an institution with an international reputation for excellence and innovation. Here he refined his skills in cataract surgerylaser eye surgery and corneal surgery (including all types of corneal transplants).
 
As well as working at Southside Eye Centre, Dr. McLintock also works as a corneal surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, looking after patients with very complex eye diseases. Dr. McLintock is passionate about teaching medical students, and junior Doctors. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is heavily involved with training Queensland’s future Eye Surgeons through his work at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He was awarded the Queensland Trainer of Excellence Award in 2019 and 2021 for his contribution to Ophthalmologist training. 
 
Dr. McLintock has authored numerous peer reviewed journal articles in international ophthalmology journals on many topics including cataract surgery, keratoconus and other corneal disease and limbal stem cell transplantation. He regularly presents at Australian and International Ophthalmology conferences, including the annual meetings of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and the Australia Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS).

Dr. Mark Dal Pra

Dr Dal Pra is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon and general ophthalmologist with over 20 years experience. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who deals with a wide range of eye diseases including cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He has a special interest in cataract surgery with great experience in performing these surgeries.
 
Graduating from University of Queensland in 1985 with first class honours, he was awarded the University medal for academic excellence. Dr. Dal Pra's ophthalmic training was undertaken in Brisbane and Sydney. He was the first Queensland Ophthalmologist to be awarded the KW Howson medal for excellence in his final ophthalmology examinations.
 
Dr. Dal Pra has worked at the Princess Alexandra hospital as a senior visiting eye specialist for over 15 years. He has a special interest in teaching, having been an examiner for the ophthalmology training program for 10 years. He retains an active interest in teaching and strives to provide his patients with the most up to date ophthalmic care.

Dr Anthony Fong

Dr Anthony Fong is a comprehensive general Ophthalmologist with interests in Cataract surgery, Neuro-Ophthalmology, adult strabismus and glaucoma.
Dr Fong started his career after graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours from the University of New South Wales and worked briefly as an optometrist in private practice in metropolitan Sydney. 

It did not take long for his interest in Ophthalmology to evolve, leading him to relocate to Queensland to pursue a career in Medicine. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2006 and obtained his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2016. Dr Fong completed a fellowship in general ophthalmology which included Cataract, Glaucoma and Strabismus surgery.

Deciding to subspecialise in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Dr Fong travelled to Birmingham in 2019 on the Topham Scholarship to complete a year-long sub-speciality Fellowship in Neuro-ophthalmology. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham is one of the largest centres for Neuro-ophthalmic care in the United Kingdom.

Dr Fong has a keen interest and dedication to teaching and education and is passionate about the training of future Ophthalmologists. When he is not caring for eyes or teaching about eyes, Dr Fong enjoys spending time with his two young children and playing the piano and violin. He enjoys escaping from the bustle of the city for bushwalking and photography.

Dr. Ken Ng

Dr Ken Ng is a consultant ophthalmologist with subspecialist interest in retinal treatments. His practice areas include retinal detachment surgery, epiretinal membrane surgery, macular hole surgery, cataract surgery and secondary lens surgery, and treatment for age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions. Dr Ng is committed to delivering excellent, tailored, specialist care in your neighbourhood. 

Having received the David Symon Trust Prize in 2006, Dr Ng embarked on 5 years of medical education in the University of Otago, New Zealand. He graduated in 2011 and quickly dedicated the rest of his professional training to Ophthalmology. Dr Ng has been a humble recipient of a number of academic and research prizes, but he is most proud of the Francis Billson Prize in Ophthalmic Physiology awarded by the University of Sydney in 2013.

In 2016, Dr Ng was admitted to the specialist training programme of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologist (RANZCO). He completed the 5-year programme in Auckland and Wellington - two of the largest centres in New Zealand. Dr Ng subsequently honed in his subspecialist skillset in retinal treatment in a year-long fellowship in Wellington. 

In 2022, Dr Ng further consolidated his clinical experience in the sought-after vitreoretinal fellowship at St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool, which boasts one of the busiest eye centres in the United Kingdom. During his 12-month tenure, Dr Ng was involved in a number of research initiatives, including the Biobank project. He is a member of the British and Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons (BEAVRS).

In his spare time, Dr Ng enjoys a glass of red and snorkeling in tropical waters, but not both at once! Having lived on 3 continents, he enjoys reading about how history and geography shape our present society. Akin to proud Roman acquisition, he names his precious indoor fig trees Corinth and Carthage.
